‘Amaro Lucano’ was invented by Pasquale Vena, owner of the bar bearing the same name in Pisticci, in 1894.
Amaro Lucano has a well-established position among Italian spirits owing to its unmistakable taste, its proved genuineness and the absolute respect of the traditions of its homeland.
It is a bitter liquor produced in the traditional way, whose secret recipe is handed on from father to son.
We know the nine herbs used to make it, but the ingredient that makes its taste special is a secret.
