Note well: the museum is located in Carlo Levi's house, furnishings and paintings by the authur are exposed
Opened in 1988, the museum is located on the ground floor of the building where Carlo Levi lived at the time of his internment in Aliano. The place that houses the exhibition used to be an oil mill.
In the museum, among old irons and tools for making home-made pasta, kitchenware and agricultural tools, it is possible to see the millstone and the presses used for the making oil.
The museum also provides information about old crafts such as wool spinning and brick baking.
The apotropaic masks and the musical instruments used during carnival are also very interesting.
