Arriving at the village from the South, the interesting Sant’Antuono Bridge, in stone and dating from the XII century, will be met.
This Bridge connects ‘Rione Sant’Antuono’ to ‘Rione il Piano’, where the Convent of Santa Maria de Plano is.
This Convent was build around a quadrangular cloister, with a well in the middle and frescos along its four wings.
Its Church was founded by the Benedictine monks, later it passed to the Franciscan order. It has two portals with Corinthian capitals, finely crafted in the workshop of Melchiorre da Montalbano (architect and sculptor, 1273-1279) and decorated with plants having the shape of a bunch of acanthus leaves.
Inside the Church there is the wooden statue of the Madonna, 1100, the major altar in baroque style and the wooden choir of 1800.
