The Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli has great artistic relevance, also having some frescos from 1400 and 1600.
Inside the Church there are five niches, with frescos from 1616 by Girolamo Todisco from Abriola. On the left of the entrance, the ‘Madonna del Latte’ (who helps the souls in Purgatory) with Ss. Filippo, Giacomo Minore, Pietro, Paolo and ‘Visita di Maria a S. Elisabetta’ are represented.
On the right there are St. Tobia, the ‘Angelo’, the ‘Natività’, ‘S. Michele Arcangelo’ (who helps the souls in Purgatory by fighting against Satan) with S. Giacomo Maggiore and S. Leonardo, the ‘Madonna dell’Ulivo’ or ‘della Pace’, a Pope, a Bishop, S. Marco and S. Antonio da Padova.
On the central wall there is a canvas of the XVII century that represents the ‘Vergine col Bambino’ and an ‘Arcangelo’ releasing some damned souls from the flames of Purgatory. On the right of this canvas there is a wooden Crucifix of the XVIII century.
