‘The Sounds of the Basento River’ is an interesting international session of ethnic music.
Several shows and concerts are held in Potenza in summertime.
This event hosts every year famous musicians of ethnic music from all over the world, always attracting many spectators.
Because of the spirit in which it was created, ‘I Suoni del Basento’ takes part to several campaigns for helping Third World countries.
This event usually takes place in the old centre of Potenza and has every year a very wide public, thus becoming one of the scheduled events in summertime.
