The monastery of San Francesco is very interesting from a historic and artistic point of view and so is the XV century monastery of Sant'Antonio, erected by Gerolamo Sanseverino, prince of Bisignano.

In the highest part of the town stands the Norman castle built as a stronghold (IX-X century) with a cylindrical tower.

The town is rich in buildings of great artistic importance such as ‘Palazzo Aragiusto’, with a XV century portal, ‘Palazzo Pignatelli’, which is of great architectural interest, ‘Palazzo Carafa’, ‘Palazzo Putignani’ and ‘Palazzo Cristallo’.
